Job Description:

Training Works is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Lead to join our team and drive the growth of two groundbreaking products, Fatigue Defence and Skilltinuous. Fatigue Defence utilizes biometrics and environmental data to model fatigue, proactively detecting and mitigating fatigue-related risks, while Skilltinuous is a competency-based assessment tool designed to identify and address skills gaps through microlearning interventions. One product is in the commercialization stage, while the other is pre-commercialization, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to both product's success.

Responsibilities:

Product Commercialization:

  • Lead the commercialization efforts for the Skilltinuous product.

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to drive product adoption.

  • Identify and pursue potential commercial partners, clients, and market segments.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to drive sales and partnerships.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted marketing campaigns and sales collateral.

Pre-Commercialization Strategy:

  • Contribute to the strategic planning for the pre-commercialization phase of Fatigue Defence.
  • Assess market readiness, competitive landscape, and target audience.
  • Identify early adopters, pilot programs, and potential partnerships to ensure a smooth transition to commercialization.
  • Gather market feedback and insights to inform product development and go-to-market strategies.

Market Research:

  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and potential threats.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and compliance requirements relevant to both products.
  • Evaluate the market potential for both Fatigue Defence and Skilltinuous.

Sales and Client Management:

  • Build and maintain a sales pipeline, regularly updating the CRM system with leads and opportunities.
  • Work closely with the sales team to convert leads into customers, ensuring sales targets are met.
  • Manage client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.

Proposal Development:

  • Collaborate with the product development team to tailor product offerings to meet client needs.
  • Develop compelling proposals and presentations for prospective clients, highlighting the value of both products.

Reporting and Metrics:

  • Regularly report on sales performance, market trends, and business development activities.
  • Utilize key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate success and make data-driven decisions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or marketing, ideally within the technology, occupational HSE, healthcare, mining, and oil and gas sector.
  • Knowledge of biometric, occupational HSE and educational technologies.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Exceptional project management and organizational abilities.
  • Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic work environment.
