Jessica Philpott - Learning Architect

What was your background before you came to Training Works?

Prior to joining Training Works, I worked for 7 years as a Sr. Customer Success Manager at an educational technology company. Through this role, I helped customers align learning programs to strategic imperatives, drive adoption of solutions, and measure value against key KPIs.

Describe yourself in three sentences or less?

I am an ever curious, life-long learner with a passion for travel and cats. When I am not working, I can be found trying a new experience or learning a new skill. Anything from ziplining to pottery to trying a new recipe, I see every day as an opportunity to learn something new!

How do you believe skills development will change in the future?

I believe that skills development will move away from formalized training to experience-based training. Training and development will focus less on checking boxes and completions and more on the overall experience of the employee as they move through their career lifecycle. Agility will be key in developing and redeveloping skills to keep up with the ever-changing demands of the workforce as organizations digitally transform.

If you were not a Learning Architect, what would you do?

If I weren’t in Learning and Development, I’d love to work with rescue animals.
